Arizona Wilderness was founded to appreciate artistinal brews inspired by the diverse state of Arizona. Many of the ideas that you will see are inspired time spent in nature. The embrace Arizona’s diverse agriculture and they value sustainability and the conservation of Arizona’s natural resources. Even though that was short let’s get into the beer:

Bear Wallow Berliner Weisse

This berliner weisse weighs in at a very light 3.4% ABV and is fermented in one of AZ Wilderness’ American oak foeders pictured here:

Cold Fashioned Cocktail Inspired Ale

Sorry could not find a picture for this one but this cocktail inspired ale weighs in at a hefty 9% ABV. It coppies the flavors of an old fashioned with coffee flavoring. It is made with “Whiskey Del Bac barrel-aged coffee beans roasted by Provision and a spiced Honey Mixer from Iconic Cocktail Company (AZ Wilderness brewing Co).”

Don’t F#%K it Up Honey Blonde Ale

This Blonde Ale weighs in a much lighter 5.7% ABV and is made grains grown 100% in Arizona. It is also brewed in Wildflower Honey from Valley Honey Company and Orange Blossom.

Druid Woodnotes Cellar Stout

This stout ringing in at 6.3% ABV was traditionally Foreign Extra Stout with notes molasses, chocolate covered cherries, and plums with Brettanomyces.

Hellsgate Franconian Lager

This is probably by the most interesting thing I have ever heard. This lager coming in at 4.4% ABV is a collaboration of a franconian lager with Mahr’s Brau out of Germany.

La Ciudad

I had the pleasure of trying this beer on my birthday in my 32 oz birthday beer. It weighs in at 6.4% ABV and is brewed with Mosaic and Citra hops and has a nice hazy hue to it.

Refuge IPA

This IPA ringing in at 6.9% ABV is AZ Widlerness’ flagship IPA with a citrusy flavor to it.

Peloncillo Porter

This porter coming in at 7.3% ABV is a brown porter with cinnamon roasted dates.

Love it Like It’s Yours Table IPA

This is probably the beer I should’ve had for my birthday beer considering it is only 4.1% ABV but what’s the fun in that? This beer was a collaboration with Keep Nature Wild to raise awareness for conservation in Arizona. It is a fruity session IPA with El Dorado, Centennial, and Vic Secret Hops.

Shrimp Blonde Ale

This collaboration with Stillwater Artisinal rings in at 5.8% ABV and is brewed with prickly pear and honey from Arizona.

Skull Valey Black Ale

This black ale comes in at a hefty 8.1% ABV and is brewed with a combination of black currants and black teas from Tea Royalty as a collaboration with Zia Records.

Terroir Project AZ Arizona Wild Ale

This Wild Ale ringing in at 9.9% ABV is a blend of grape juice from Sangiovese Grapes grown in Arizona and fermentables Arizona Grains. It is fermented by the grape skins and aged in french oak barrels for 10 months. This was brewed for the Firestone Walker Terroir Project which is a collaboration with 13 breweries from all over the world to brew terroir beers.

Wet Beaver Creek Woodnotes Cellar Witbier

This witbier coming in at 5.4% ABV has an earthy and citrusy flavor because it is brewed with beats, coriander, and citrus forward hops.

Thru-Hike American Pale Ale

This pale ale weighing in at 5.8% ABV is brewed with Cashmere, Belma, and Ekuanot hops for the 25th anniversary of the Arizona Trail Association.

Junebug American Wild Ale

This wild ale coming in at 6.4% ABV is an Appalachian ale brewed with plums aged in wine barrels.

Apple Boutique Graff

This brew weighing in at 6.8% ABV is fermented wort and apples from Arizona and aged in french oak for a year with their house mix before being conditioned with honey from Arizona.

Granola Stout

This stout weighing in at 8% ABV is obviously inspired by granola and brewed with maple syrup, vanilla, toasted oats, Arizona Milk Sugar, and dried fruit.

Goo Goo Ga Ga Imperial Stout

This one is a sipper weighing in at a hefty 12% ABV and it is part barleywine and mostly imperials stout. It is inspired by the Goo Goo Cluster out out of Nashville. After fermented AZ Wilderness and Magnamonious Brewing added Madagascar Vanilla Beans, Nicaraguan Cacao Nibs, and peanuts.

Double Picacho Pecan Pie Brown Ale

This double brown ale weighs in at a heavy 11% ABV. They have a regular one of these so this one is just extra vanilla, maple syrup, and pecans.

If you want to try any of these delicious beers AZ Wilderness’ original location is in Gilbert but they also have a beer garden in Downtown Phoenix! This is definitely a must visit when you come to the Phoenix area. Until next time Hoppy Travels!
