One thing we can look forward to after this quarantine is over is traveling and if you are a beer traveler like me then there are some ale trails you should definietly put on your bucketlist.

Grand Rapids ‘Beer City’ Ale Trail

Grand Rapids, Michigan is very well known as Beer City and rightfully so. On this ale trail you have a whopping 45 breweries to visit. Some notable breweries on this ale trail are Founders, The Mitten, and Thornapple. Need a little bit more persuasion? Here are some things that have been said about Grand Rapids and its’ beer scene: “#1 Beercation Beer Lovers should book for the next giveaway” by Travel & Leisure Magazine, “1 of 15 Best Beer Cities Around the World” by CNN, “America’s Best Beer Scene” by USA Today, and last but not least “1 of 6 Must Visit US Cities for Beer Connoissuers” by the Travel Channel. If you need a map to get you around Beer City I made one for you that you can toggle with below.

Denver Beer Trail

Of course Denver is part of this list with 34 different breweries in the Denver metro as well as beyond Denver. Denver is home to some famous names like Tivoli Brewing, Great Divide, Denver Beer Company, Epic Brewing, and Oskar Blues, as well as Avery Brewing in nearby Boulder, Colorado. Denver is also home to the Great American Beer Fest which is something else we can look forward to in the fall if we all do our part in flattening the curve.

Idaho Brewer’s Trail
Now if you have known me or followed me for awhile you know how much I love Boise. Not only can you spend an entire day going to all of the breweries there but you can spend pretty close to a month going to a bunch of them in the entire state. Idaho has their own craft brewery passport where you can get stamped and maybe win prizes for finishing. Some of my favorites are on this passport like White Dog, Boise Brewing, Payette, Barbarian, and Lost Grove. If you want to learn more about these breweries I do have a post specifically covering these guys here: http://hoppytravelsbeer.com/~hoppytra/must-visit-boise-breweries/.
