So what happens when two baby boomers and a millennial get together? I know you’re probably thinking the baby boomers complain about everything wrong with the millennial. However in this case a brewery was started. It all started in 2008 in San Diego County as a home brewing hobby. However in 2010 this hobby turned into a family business where husbands, wives, cousins, and sisters came together for one goal: “to create distinguished, hand crafted beers that stimulate sensory conversation and a desire for the next sip (Mother Earth Brewing Co).”
Word spread and in 2012 employees joined the Mother Earth family and distribution started and they opened up a second tap room in Downtown Vista, California. Very soon you could find Mother Earth cans and bottles all over San Diego. These delicious brews naturally rose. In fact it rose so much the brewing system had to be replaced several times to meet the demand. However it all paid off because Mother Earth was being found not just in California but in other states as well which I will get more into later in the article.
Since Mother Earth was growing they decided to open up another brew house in Nampa, Idaho just outside Boise. They went to make 100,000 more barrels of the fine beers pictured above and more. Now we craft beer nerds are able to enjoy Mother Earth in 17 states. To be exact, California, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Florida, Georgia Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. So go enjoy a Boo Koo or Cali Creamin!
Until next time Hoppy Travels!!
