When Belching Beaver Brewing started seven years ago they had two goals. One, have quality craft beer but be whimsical and promote good times. You will see that in each of theirs brews every beaver has its own personality and style. Two, to have beer for everyone’s unique palate which is why you see they have everything from stouts to Triple IPA’s. Now speaking of their beers lets start talking beer.

Deftones Phantom Bride

Definitely one of my favorite beers from these guys, this IPA sitting at 7.1% ABV is a collaboration with Deftones. It is a mixture of Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops which really gives this beer a hoppy and citrusy character. So go ahead and put some rock music on and sip on this.

Me So Honey Blonde

This honey blonde ale is the breweries bread and butter because it is brewed with the best honey available. You get a nice floral aroma with a subtle honey flavor at the finish. Sitting at 5.5% ABV, this is an easy drinking brew that the Belching Beaver crew enjoys all dam year.

Here Comes Mango IPA

This IPA sitting at 6.6% ABV is a nice fruity IPA without the IPA punch. The Simcoe and Amarillo hops really enhances the Mango flavor for a nice tropical beer that will make you feel like your on vacation in the Bahamas.

Hop Highway

This 7.3% brew was named to honor the 50th Anniversary of the City of Vista. California Highway 78 connects a bunch of amazing North San Diego County breweries whence the name Hop Highway. This West Coast IPA is made up of Galaxy, Citra, Nelson, and Mosaic hops with tons of citrus and passion fruit aromas. This beer was also listed among the US Top 50 IPA’s.

Peanut Butter Milk Stout

This stout is what put Belching Beaver on the map for me and apparently everyone else too because it is America’s favorite peanut butter stout. Even though it is a dark beer it is actually very smooth and easy to drink. You get dark chocolate, coffee, and roasted peanut aromas.

Viva La Beaver

This beer sitting at 7.5% ABV is loaded with[tp_in_our_city_fly_shortcodes destination=SAN title=”Cheap Flights to San Diego” limit=100 paginate=true stops=0 one_way=false subid=”” currency=”USD”][tp_hotels_selections_discount_shortcodes city=”17371″ title=”Cheap Hotels in San Diego” paginate=true off_title=false type_selections=”5stars” number_results=”20″ subid=”” city_label=”San Diego” type_selections_label=”5 stars” link_without_dates=false] cinnamon, peanut butter, and coffee notes. It is a perfect dessert beer and Belching Beaver has won many Gold and Silver Medals for it.

Belching Beaver is celebrating their 7 year anniversary next Saturday 10/26 so enjoy one of these delicious brews to celebrate them and if you just so happen to be in the San Diego area stop by the brewery to help them celebrate. However if you are in the Phoenix area we will be celebrating a little early at Janey’s Coffeehouse for this week’s tap takeover on Thursday at 7 PM. Hoppy Travels!

    1. Unfortunately the farthest east they go is Minnesota currently maybe we can get a beer trading thing going on though.

  1. Love Belching Beaver…that peanut butter stout is so delicious. Their brewery was also the first time I ever saw beer floats. 🤤
