Now that Christmas season is over all of the college football fans are getting into the depth of College Bowl game season. Of course with bowl season beer sales skyrocket. I will be covering beers to drink from each bowl game’s location. So without further ado lets get into it.

Clemson Tigers vs. Ohio State Buckeyes: Playstation Fiesta Bowl

Clemson will be taking on Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl in Phoenix, Arizona and boy do I have a lot of beers to recommend for this game.

This beer should also look familiar to you considering it was also on my Top 10 IPA list. If you can’t find this beer in cans go get a few crowlers filled because this beer is a must and the brewery is right in Tempe where the Fiesta Bowl is held.

Now this beer does get the stigma of the “white girl beer” but I love it for tailgating in the Phoenix area because it is local and it is super light and easy to drink which is what a lot of people want in a tailgate beer. It is also nice because it also comes in a can.

Wyoming Cowboys vs. Georgia State Panthers: Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl

For the Arizona Bowl my Wyoming Cowboys are facing the Georgia State Panthers in Tucson, Arizona. Now there is only one brewery I know of in Tucson that sells their beers in cans and that is one of the breweries of the week Barrio Brewing.

Ok not only do I love this beer but I also love the name of it. I mean how can you drink in Arizona without having a beer that has Arizona in the name.

College Football National Championship

Now of course we will not know who is facing who in this years National Championship until after the playoffs. However the national championship is in New Orleans and of course there is plenty of booze to go around. Now these are some breweries that I have heard of that have packages that are tailgating friendly.

Port Orleans Brewing

Port Orleans has cans that are tailgating friendly and one beer that caught my eye was the Sean Payton Blonde Ale. Basically what happened was Sean Payton found out that Zach Strief was opening a brewery and so he asked him to make a beer for him.

Abita Brewing Company

Of course probably the most iconic brewery in NOLA is Abita Brewing and if that doesn’t ring a bell you have probably heard of the beer Purple Haze which is brewed by these guys but I have to say the beer I love most from them is their Strawberry Lager which legitimately tastes like a Strawberry Shortcake. It also comes in cans so it is tailgate friendly.

Minnesota Golden Gophers vs. Auburn Tigers: Outback Bowl

There is going to be a showdown in my homecity of Tampa, Florida between Minnesota and Auburn  and boy do I have some beers for those fans to drink.

Cigar City Brewing Jai Alai

Now if you are thinking this beer looks familiar you probably saw it on my Top 10 IPA List and guess what it is tailgating friendly because all Cigar City beers come in cans. So if you are an IPA lover like me you need to have Jai Alai at your tailgate.

Coppertail Brewing Free Dive IPA

This is was a solid beer and Coppertail is a solid brewery. Regardless of what style you like you have to have some Coppertail at your tailgate plus look at that can art its amazing.

Ohio vs. Nevada: Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

I’m not going to lie I wish Wyoming was in this bowl because it is in my favorite city Boise, Idaho. As all of you should know I know lots of local places that you can get local boise beer to have at your tailgate. So instead of picking my favorite beers from each place I’m just going to tell you my favorite breweries where you can get canned beer for your tailgate.

White Dog Brewing Company

If this brewery looks familiar to you it was one of the breweries of the week. At White Dog you can get their flagship beers in cans which include the English IPA, Scotch Ale, Blonde Ale, Blueberry Sour, Blood Orange Hefeweizen, 5-Hop IPA, and Pale Ale. You can also get their River Beer and New England Hazy IPA in cans.

Boise Brewing

You can also have Boise Brewing at your tailgate. You can get their Hip Check IPA, Better Hazy Than Never, Red Velvet, and High Desert Haze in cans. Highly recommend getting at least one of these for your tailgate.

Woodland Empire Ale Craft

Another boise favorite Woodland Empire also sells some of their beers in cans. These include: City of Trees, So Juicy, Big Sticky, and Moondog.

Payette Brewing Company

Payette has so many of their beers in cans including: Blood Orange Rustler, Rustler, Mutton Buster, North Fork Lager, Pistolero Porter, Flyline Vienna Lager, Rodeo Citra Pale Ale,  and Recoil IPA.

I hope all of you going to bowl games in these areas found this helpful for you to have successful tailgates and may the odds be ever in your favor (Yes I just quoted Hunger Games). Until next time Hoppy Travels!
